Dr. Catherine Busch-Silkwood earned her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. She then went on to earn her Ph.D. in Genetics from Texas A&M as well, under the advisement of Dr. James Womack, with funding and support from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She began teaching at Texas A&M as a first-year graduate student and decided never to stop. After a few years of teaching elsewhere, she is excited to be back at home in the College of Arts & Sciences, teaching genetics courses to a new generation of Aggie students.
