Wesley Swanson is the Academic Advisor for the Agricultural Economics, Construction Science and Public Health undergraduate programs at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen. Wesley graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University in 2013 and with a Master in Public Affairs from University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley in 2020. As an Academic Advisor, Wesley works with students to align their interests to meet their personal and professional goals. This includes helping students create educational plans, providing information about academic requirements and serving as an advocate for the students. Wesley is a RGV native. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree he returned to the valley and began working in higher education in 2014. In his spare time he likes to read, play games, and go biking.
